Alex Kimura was appointed as Chief Strategy Officer of Aviva Asia in September 2014. His current responsibilities include Strategy, Corporate Development and Mergers and Acquisitions, Digital Analytics and Transformation for Asia. Alex brings with him a wealth of strategic and operating expertise and experience in the financial services industry and the Asian markets. Prior to Aviva, he was with the AXA Group since 2000 and was first appointed as Chief Operating Officer of AXA Japan and a member of their Management Committee. Since 2006, he oversaw the Asia Pacific region reporting to the Group CEO. During this time, he was instrumental in the major transactions and structuring activities across the region, including the major Bancassurance JVs, divestment from Taikang Life and AXA Australia/New Zealand, the acquisition of the HSBC P&C assets and Winterthur Life Asia.

Before joining AXA, Alex was a Director at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm, where he worked mainly in the US and Asia on insurance and financial services strategy, private equity transactions and cross border mergers and acquisitions. Alex also worked for many years in the investment banking industry at Morgan Stanley in Asia and US. He holds a MBA degree from Columbia University in Finance and International Business with Distinction and completed Stanford University's Executive Leadership Program.

Yannick has over 15 years of experience delivering Data Analytics and Innovative Tech solutions worldwide and has been based in Hong Kong since 2010. He holds a PGP degree on Marketing, Strategy & Leadership from the Indian School of Business (ISB Hyderabad, India) and is an IT Engineer (Polytech Montpellier, France).

Ronnie moved into digital in 1999 as he was fascinated with new technology and its effects on human behaviour, particularly in marketing where he started his career. That fascination has not dimmed in the intervening 17 or so years. Finding value for businesses in this intersection of technology and behaviour is where he is most happy and productive.

Spending time both agency (Outside Line, WEMS & Quirk) and client side (EMI Records, Reed Exhibitions, Hiscox and now DirectAsia) has given him a rounded view of digital.

He has been in Singapore since August 2015 and is slowly improving his Singlish.

Outside of work he supports Southampton FC, is a big fan of The Fall and was a member of the IAB Social Media Council in the UK for over five years.

He tries desperately to keep his geeky tendencies at bay but always gives himself away at some point.
